Hi everyone,
Thank you for welcoming us to your school! We had a great time and were impressed with your English language skills.
We loved travelling around Salamanca and are sad that we cannot find much tortilla in Adelaide.
Our flight home was good but very long! Baby Amelia slept a lot and only cried a little bit.
Amelia is nearly 6 months old now so I will soon be giving her some Vegemite to try!

G'day everyone!! I thought it would be nice to say hello on your blog. We really enjoyed our trip to Salamanca and the many beautiful historical buildings. The local food was delicious (tortilla was my favourite). We especially loved the Plaza Mayor where we enjoyed quite a few cuppas, but the highlight for me was the time we spent at your school. We received a wonderful welcome and everyone was so interested to meet and share time with us. Your presentations were excellent and we were impressed with your English language skills and the way you understood us even when we got a bit excited and spoke too fast!
I think you are very lucky to go to school at Villamayor - it is such a lovely place and your school has a friendly atmosphere where everyone smiles and laughs a lot. It is easy to see why Kristie loves being there and working with you all. I am back at work now and have told many people about our visit. They were interested to hear about you all. They were impressed that you all tasted Vegemite and laughed that some of you were gobsmacked at the unusual and strong flavour. Well done for trying it, you can't meet an Aussie and not taste some dinky-di food!
I wish you all well with your English studies. Keep up the hard yakka and maybe you will be able to use your language skills to have a chinwag in Australia one day!

ResponderEliminarI enjoyed a lot the class with you, with your daughter and with your mom. We spoke a lot and i learnt a little more about culture. But for me, we didn't have so much time, only one hour. I hope that you return to Spain in some years,and maybe we can eat typical spanish food with you.

I learnt about your culture and I tried Vegemite and I liked it but it's a little spicy so after tasted it I had to drink water,but it was funny.

ResponderEliminarHow are you? As I said in the another entry, I´m very happy and grateful that you have come to our English lesson travelling from so far away!! We really enjoyed all together and we didn´t waste the time at all!!I think all of us there learnt something new that day!
I´m also very kind that you have tried our local food and you´ve gone to the city centre of Salamanca, in fact, myself, I believe it is the most beautiful city in Spain, but… to each his own.
So, as you brought food to class and we could taste it, next time you come again (I´m pretty sure it ´ll be soon) we´ll give you some of our best dishes, such as chanfaina, hornazo or farinato, the most eaten ones. Ummm!! :)

ResponderEliminarHi!!!!! The visit of Kristie's family was very nice. We learnt a little bit more about this country, that I think not everyone knows something about it. I hope you would like our city, and our food. We love our country a lot, I think because it's ours, and it has very tipycal things that we like a lot. When we tried Vegemite, I think the majority of us didn't like it, but it was very funny, because when someone tried it, we were looking at his face, and there were very wieird faces. I think it was because Vegetime has a very hard taste for us, because our food is not as hard as Vegetime. Wherever, I had a very good time. I hope to see you again, and spend more time with you, because we haven´t time enough.
