The class began with the students welcoming Kristie´s family´s. Then each student came forward and told a little about our class, our village, Kristie, some curiosities about Spain and Australia and then, the introduction was complete. Later, It was Kristie´s family turn: we practised some interesting quizzes related to australian culture and we even tried VEGEMITE, a typical food in Australia. It was very strong however, it was tasty.
It was a great visit. Thank you Kristie for sharing your family with us and thank you guys, because you made them feel very welcome and they were impressed with all your questions and how well you speak and understand english. GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ResponderEliminarI liked this day because I met Kristie's family and they were very nice and friendly with us. I hope they return here. I tasted the Vegemite and I liked it but it is spicy so we couldn't eat so much.

ResponderEliminarHow are you? Did you have a nice flight? Here we are as you met us that fantastic day. We had a really good time and we hanged out with you. It was a pleasure to have known you and we are very happy you had enjoyed your visit. It´s a shame Dave couldn´t come to our high school! Still, all of us took advantage of this great and wonderful opportunity- not every day a secondary student has the chance to talk to an English-speaking person fluently.
However and unluckily I didn´t like so much VEGEMITE (other classmates did), one of the highlights, though I really thank you for bringing it. Don´t mind at all. At first I thought it would be sweet such as a chocolate cream or something like that, but I was in wrong and it has a special bitter and spicy flavour. ^^
To sum up: thank you. We are looking forward to welcoming you again.

The visit was very good. I think that all the family was very nice and friendly. I think the quiz was also interesting.
But when the family gave us the typical food I don´t know the rest of the group but I think that it was different than the Spanish meals and I didn´t really enjoy that meal.

ResponderEliminarI liked so much the visit because listening and speaking with natives is good to our pronunciation. They were very friendly and also they speak very fast. When I heard them speaking I have understood the differences between the Australian's, the American's and the British's english.
The questions that they asked us were very interesting but I haven't got any idea of the answers.
Also I think that the baby was very funny.
And the honey was a very different type of food. I like do new and different things, but I never imagine that a honey taste very strong, but I like it.
I hope that you will return but with more time, and nice to met you. :)

ResponderEliminarI think that we all have enjoyed the hour with Kristie's family. I have learnt more thing about them and their way of life, and I think that Vegemite's history is interesting. Its falvour was strange because we don't something similar in Spain, but of course it was also fine to discover new flavours. Some details from the quiz called my attention, so I have looked something else about Vegemite on the internet, but there weren't any other interesting facts about it.
From my point of view Australia is an amazing country, and I really want to visit it to surf on its beaches, that't one of my life's objectives.
You can come and visit us again when you want, we'll wait you in class to tell you more stories and listen to yours, nice to meet you!
And the rest of you I'll se you in class, see you on Monday! :P

I liked a lot the visit because it was so funny.
My favourite part was when we have tasted VEGEMITE. I liked it a lot! From my point of view it was delicious.
I was surprised when Kristie said how many VEGEMITES sells the company and when she speak about the history of this food.
You can come again where you want because you are going to be wellcome again.

ResponderEliminarIt was great to have Kristie´s family here with us, because we learned a lot of things about a strange food that they eat in Australia. It was disgusting. They call it Vegemite. We also presented our presentations about typical food, expresions, and some things about Salamanca. I hope they come again to tell us more things about this amazing country that is Australia.

ResponderEliminarHi!!! I think this experience was very nice because I'm sure everybody enjoyed it. About the quiz, I think it was good, and we learnt some new interesting things. I also think Australia is very interesting, and if it is possible in a future, I want to travel there and know more things about this country. I want to comment about Vegemite too. I don't like so much, but probably a lot of people yes. This kind of experiences make us better in lot of aspects, so we have to exploit it at maximum level as we can and in the future, when we'll travel, we could have more culture and be open to other experiences. Now, I like travelling a little bit more than after, beecause I want to know new things.

There were Kristie's mother, Kristie's sister and the baby of Kristie's sister. The baby was always doing strange noises and it was very funny.
First we presented our powerpoints, later they give us a typical Australian food called Vegemite, I didn't like at all.
Then, they try to say spanish tongue twisters and they ask us some questions about Australia.
I hope they will visit us other day.

ResponderEliminarIt was very good our visit of Kristie´s family, they were very nice and friendly.We lernt a lot of English with them and also different costums.
The best moment that I enjoy with her family was when we had to eat the Australian cream,I can´t remember the name it was so difficult, but I remember how it tasted, very chili!
Another good moment was when the mother and the sister of kristie had to read the tong-twister, it was fantastic, they were very funny.
I fell in love of the baby too, he was very nice.
So anything eles, I really enjoy this moment and I want more visit of people like this in our school it´s very good for us, I love it
