Verbs for Your Recipes

Here are a few of the verbs you might need to use when you write your different recipes in English.

to mix-mezclar
to beat-batir
to add-añadir
to bake-honear
to combine-juntar
to cut-cortar
to chop-trocear
to slice-cortar en rodajas

Verbs are going to be used in the imperative form, for example:
1. Combine the flour and sugar.

Remember: If you want to make a dessert you have to bring it on Wednesday and also write the recipe...IN ENGLISH!

Your recipe should be written in this order:

NAME OF RECIPE
Ingredients
-this is a list of what and how much of each ingredient you use in the recipe

Directions
-this is where you tell us how to make it!

Here is a short video showing how to make chocolate chip cookies; you can hear some of the verbs being used.
