We are on unit 4, coping with the perspectives of REAL FASHION, learning fashion vocabulary, using comparison, discussing dress codes and talking about fashion in general.
We take into account what we have learnt and we are going to desing a COVER of a fashion magazine.
To design this cover we will use publisher stuff and you will add pictures, adverts, scoops what you consider appropiate to sell your product in our Spanish market. From now on, pay attention to different styles and how fashion develops in our society.
More instructions will be given about this project in the classroom. It must be finished in two weeks.
DON´T FORGET:
- January, 17th: Reading book, The Lost World, Exam
- Vocabulary exams will be forthcoming.
In your opinion, is this way of dressing fashionable???
Hi everybody!
ResponderEliminarI imagine that in India this type of clothing is considered acceptable, but I don´t think the same from here.
In India the people try to wear something colourfull and with symbols, for girls, long kerchiefs.
The men , usualy wear Dhotis, they are so typical there, and they are like a very long shirt, normally white, brown or black, and a skirt or baggy trousers.
Different from here, our idea of fashion is totally strange (for them of course), we try to put tight pants or jeans, and, from my point of view, the girls like short dresses, not long ones.
Also the boys try to have the best trainers or tracksuits.
I don´t know if there, to have this type of cloths, I mean, to look cool, is so expensive, but in spain yes, if you wan´t to have something that is brand you have to pay a lot.
I hope you like my conclusion, and if you wan´t to see pictures of india´s fashion you can go to my blog and see them, I will upload them there. (http://evaherrerobilingualproject.blogspot.com.es/)
Thanks for all, bye bye, I hope you to have a good weekend, I see you on monday!!
Hiiii :)
ResponderEliminarIn my opinion, these clothes may be fashionables in India, but here in Spain it's kinda weird to see people wearing these clothes. I don't think it will be fashionable because it has too many colours, and it's not what we're used to see or wear. Here most of people wear discret clothes, and if they see someone wearing this they would he in shock because it's new for them. These clothes are typical from there, and we have typicar clothes here, so it's just because of the culture you have recieved. Maybe Indian people think our clothes are weird, because they've never seen that in their country.
Byyyye x
Hellooooo!!!!
ResponderEliminarI think this is the "indian" fashion although we don't see it like that because we are use to see the clothes we wear in Spain, the same with the indian people that must think similar about our clothes. I think the indians found their clothes normal because they born seeing them. These clothes are really strange, I'm pretty sure that if someone is walking in the street with these clothes all the people will look at he/she.
I think I have explain it well, bye!!!!
Hello everybody!
ResponderEliminarIn my opinion this way of dressing is fashionable inside the country, but not out of it, because it is a very "traditional" or "typical" way to dress. I think that happens to the Indians also when they look at our typical “flamenco” dress or the way that the bullfighters dress; then they think that it is a very strange way of dressing. The conclusion is that this kind of clothes are normal inside the country, but not in others, like Spain.
Hi friends!
ResponderEliminarI think that we have to accept Indian people thinking, and if there all the people wear these clothes they will se it like if for example here in Spain we see a girl wearing jeans... For me there are more beautiful clothes, but we are talking about ohter cultures and places so, if I had to live there, I wouldn't mind to take part in their clothing way, I like colorful things, so colour is not a problem for me!!! But if I have to choose I prefer wearing Spanish clothes, I've never weared any other kind of clothes, but I think that in some parts of he world people wear very uncomfortable dresses and special clothes, so by the moment I prefer our jeans with a warm sweatshirt!
Bye!!!
Hello classmate!!
ResponderEliminarI think these clothes are more respectul than the clothes that we're wearing in Spain, here the girls are more provocative than the people in India and the boys are less respectful than there because there they are more plugged than here, they don't show they're underwear.
But for me is not a problem, I can't wear anything because I'm a guy that likes the variety.
Bye
Hi everyone!
ResponderEliminarIn my opinion if you wear this clothes in Spain people will insult you. If you go with this type of clothes to your school, your classmates will insult you too or even somebody can hit you.For me it isn't a problem because it's their culture. They accept our culture so we have to respect theirs too.
I think that in India this type of clothes are fashionable because for them this kind of dress means many things. It's all about their life and habits. Sincerely Idon't like this special clothes. I think the reason of that is because I am not used to wear it but most of this typical clothes are amazing.
So this is my point of view.
Bye guys :)
Hi everybody!!!!! how are you?
ResponderEliminarI think this type of dress will never become a new fashion in Spain, In my opinion I don't like to much this type of dress because it's to showy and very colorful, of course the indian's people will not agree with me because if they wear this type of dress is because they like.
If I or an other person see a people dressing like this we will think that person could be asian.
Here in Spain the old people dress more elegant and clear and the teenagers use clothes more comfortable for example shirts, jeans... so the clothes are differents depending of the place and cities around the world.
Bye, see you soon.
Hello!!! How are you???
ResponderEliminarThe sari is a garment own from india, and surely it is fashionable there considering that it is very typical from there.
Here this type of clothing is not very common so I think it would not be very well received because this garment besides it is only used in south asia, here people use other more common garment and less tacky as it is the sari.
Maybe there, they see the sari like a cloth very preppy and here in a few years it will come into fashion and it will suits us.
According to how I see it in the photo, this garment must be very uncomfortable because it is very long and you can go stepped on the sari the whole time and also it is very loosen
Bye Bye, BFN
Hi everybody!
ResponderEliminarHonestly I don't like this type of clothes, I would never put those clothes, is an indiscreet clothes,
I never seen a person dresses like that in Spain, here we wear other form more discreet.
I think in every country dress in a way and here, in Spain, ins't usual dress whit this type os clothes because this clothes typical os India.
The clothes worn in Spain is more discreet and I like a lot of more but everyonedress like he like.
Bye!

ResponderEliminarHiiii guyss!!!!! How are you?
ResponderEliminarThese type of clothes are very strange, I know in some countries like India wear this, but I never see people in Spain wearing this, of course when foreing people come here, I don't know if in the future these dresses will be fashionable in this country but in my opinion it will never do it. In India I think the people who have to wear that don't like because the people don't show their personality and they don´t feel free, also these kind of dresses are very colourful and you can put them from different ways, and if I had to wear it I would be a washout, and the girls who have the dresses to go to the school are...I don't know probably they feel bad because we can wear whatever we want while their have to wear them every day.
But I understand also that it is the culture of the country and if they are wearing these kind of clothes are because it is the tradition and because thy like it.
Bye bye. See you soon.
Hi mates! How's your weekend?
ResponderEliminarI think that if someone in Spain start to wear this type of clothes is gonna be ''the weird'' because for us is unusual. Here we wear many types of different clothes and many of them are fashionable (I think that the fashion change very fast and we don't have a defined style. It means that maybe one day we wear a fluor shirt and in a week we wear a basic one)
But in India, this type of dress, or whatever it's this, is very common and nobody say something against this.
But in our country if i wear this clothes i can be ''a weird person'' or something like that.
The summary could be something like....: This is fashionable in India, but i think that in Spain this never are gonna be a ''fashion dress''
Bye bye, see you tomorrow Xx
Hi everyone!!!
ResponderEliminarI think that clothes are not beautiful, maybe I thin so because we are used to wear another kind of clothes. I think that clothes are not very respectful, because they doesn't show girls faces.
Of course I wouldn't wear that kinds of clothes, because in spain it would be weird.
By!
Hi everyone !:)
ResponderEliminarI think that the clothes of India are not the most beautiful, their clothes are different than the clothes of Spain. This clothes are typical of India and if we were of Indian would see the clothes rare that we get
I would not wear those clothes because I would look weird and it´s not my style

HELLO EVERYBODY!!!
ResponderEliminarI don´t really like this dress. Here in Spain is not very fashionable but there in india sure it is and I think every country has a typical dress so everyone have to respect it.
I think the Sari is very colorful and it doesn´t let to express well your personality but I´m sure that if I live ther I will dress it because if I don´t do it I won´t be fashionable.
Here in Spain the idea of "FASHION" its very different that in other countries like India.
BFN :)

ResponderEliminarFrom my point of view, I don´t like at all this way of dress and I don't think that it's very fashionable But I know that depending of the place you live you will wear one thing or another. I'm not saying that this way of dress is horrible or cool, I only think that it's different. Surely, if we live there, we will think that it´s normal.
ResponderEliminarIn comparison, our way to dress is very different and we can express whatever we want, and normally anyone say nothing to us.
byee :)
Hi classmates!! How are you?
ResponderEliminarMy own, I guess burka and shari are just fashionable in the East. I don’t think people would like to wear it in Europe not only because of its beauty, but also because it’s a religious clothing. I can’t imagine someone wearing a robe like a priest, a kipá to look like a rabbi or a shanga to be alike a Buddhist. In Europe, we don´t care about the religion as much as Asian and African people do. However it wouldn´t be impossible to see people wearing it in less than 10 days and it won´t impress me at all. Fashion’s continuously changing and it could be tomorrow when people start dressing underpants on their heads. We’re crazy, man!! If a superstar firstly dares to wear a burka, it’ll be fashionable next day, I ensure it to you!!
Hi everybody!!!
ResponderEliminarI think these type of clothes are very strange and I don't like them. I am very respectful with the culture in other countries but I don't see any girl with this clothes here. But each country has its culture, for example in japan use kimonos like in the past or in africa all the people have piercings in a lot of parts of the body because of the culture too. Here we have the ham and the tortilla de patata.
Thats all for my part. Bye!
I think it is not fashionable at all because if all the women dress up alike, there is not gonna be differences between them, and the fashion means from my point of view, dress up different from other people.
ResponderEliminarI do not like this types of indian dresses because the majority of them are very similar, and I do not like the indian dresses too because the women must cover their hair, and the hair is very important in fashion.
I think the same as Óscar have said, this clothes are not going to be fashion in Spain because anybody wear them, and they are so strange fom our point of view because no body wear them here.
Sorry Ascen, I couldn't post the comment before because I hadn't internet yesterday, so sorry.
BFN mates!
Hello everybody!
ResponderEliminarI think this strange type of clothes are good and I would like to prove it same day. Here in Spain they aren´t fashionable but in India is a tradicion for the women the wear it. So I think that we have to respect other tradicions or culture because they respect as. Also I think that is a very good clothe to cover you in the sofa jajaja. No, it was a joke
Bye ;)

ResponderEliminarHi everybody
ResponderEliminarI think this clothes are very strange outside of india because is a very close clothes and in my opinion have very inusual form.I like the colours of the both types but I like more the first because is more colorfull and the graphics are very interesting
I think that this type of clothes hasn,t got future in spain because our clothes are more comfortable and the people don like the close clothes but the indian people havn`t got the same like then we can`t value a tradition
Bye guys see you soon
Hi all
ResponderEliminarI think this clothes is not the fashion because this strange clothes is traditional clothes , i think women of Indiand didn ´t like this clothes but their parents say to put this because it is tradicional. Here in Spain the people will look weird because a lot of people in Spain have prejudices and that´s alll
Bye
Hi everybody!
ResponderEliminarI think that in India maybe it is considered a fashionable way of dressing but here in Spain no.
Here is more usual to wear dresses, shirts, T-shirts, jeans, leggins... and other clothes but no typical ones of our country, like the sari (in the pictures) is a typical women type of clothing in India.
I think it's more usual to wear jeans, shirts... and things like that because in the majority part of the world people wear this types of clothes every day.
Bye :)
Marco Periañes says,
ResponderEliminarHello everyone.
I do not find this very rare fashion dress but if it is the culture and tradition there, I respect that.It is Like bulls here, is culture, there is the dress culture. I really do not like it, I think this dress is very simple and women are not different at all, in my opinion it's not fashion, it's very ugly.
Bye :)
Hi guys!!!!! In my opinion, fashion depends on the person who see these tipycal trcksuits; for me aren't.
ResponderEliminarProbably in India they're the most beautyful ones, but not for me, but we have to respect these kinds of clothes. Perhaps, our clothes are wire for them, because normaly, others ways to wear clothes that for you are not normal, for them is the most normal ones and I'm sure it happends the same for them. People who travel a lot probably are used to see a lot of ways to wear, and a lot of different dresses, so for them is the sameand it doens't matter.
Nowdays, culture is moving all the time, and in a few years, probably, we will see this kinds of clothes more normal than now, and we will be able to valorate more their dresses. We think fashion is that things the mayority of the people wear, even if they're horrible, so if we do that... Why saris cannot be fashion for us as RayBan big glasses or Asics trainers?
